Installation
============

StrainPycon is tested on 64-bit Linux with Python 3.6.5 and NumPy 1.14.3. The
examples in :ref:`examples` section also require Matplotlib for graphics. The
easiest way to install a smoothly running environment with all
necessary packages is to install Anaconda with Python 3: https://www.anaconda.com/download/

Then StrainPycon itself can be installed simply by ``pip install strainpycon``.


Known issues
------------

StrainPycon does not support multi-threading yet.
